Facts:
He got his first break into show business when he auditioned
for MMC. One of his friends asked him to go to an open call audition with him. This is what happened, in
JC's own words: "They picked me out of a large crowd and asked me if I could wait. Finally, after about ten hours, the casting director came back and video taped me and told me
that he thought I would be perfect for the part on MMC. I really didn't expect to get the part. I only went to the audition because my friend wanted me to."
JC was on MMC from season 4 to season 7. He performed quite a few songs for the show, and was the lead in a couple of songs for the MMC Album.
He also did a few songs and skits with Justin and the two found out how well their voices fit together. JC got used to the heavy scheduling when he was on MMC and he also learned what life on the road was like. In a way, MMC was ultimately responsible for 'N Sync
JC is a big sports fan. He doesn't play as much basketball as Justin and Chris, but you can still find him and the rest of the guys out at the
nearest basketball court shooting hoops. JC's favorite sport is football and his favorite team is the Washington Redskins. He loves jazz and he likes
going out to jazz clubs and some coffee houses and listen to some quiet music. His favorites are Billie Holliday, Harry Connick, Jr., Seal and Sting among many others.
JC says that the best thing about being in a band is the friendships - having people around you all the time so you're never lonely. He says that his most prized possession is his friends.
JC sort of has a new look for 1998: He pulled his hair back .
He loves singing, dancing and writing music.

JC used to date a girl named Francy and he thought he was in love with her but he says that they were both only 15."She was a beautiful girl inside and out but it was only a
teenage thing." He had to move away so that relationship ended.

He's been known to be the "Daddy" of the group because he watches out for the other guys all the time. He watches what they all eat and he makes sure that they get enough rest.
JC is notorious for being a sleeper. The other guys joke around that JC grew up too fast and now all he wants to do is His job in the band is to sleep, sing, and be serious.
JC keeps a stuffed animal from a show to sleep on while he's travelling.
He is dubbed "Mr. Casual" by the rest of the guys but he likes to make an effort for a date. He likes to dress casually so he'll feel comfortable.
To get ready of a date, JC has to shower and while he's in there he sings!!! And for the date? He just does whatever he feels like doing at the time.
WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE TYPE OF JEWELRY JC WEARS, HE REPLIES:
"Honest, I'm not a real stylish person. You see that...I wear a leather ribbon with my starsign around my neck. I bought it at a music festival, where I was with my parents..Since that day I wear it day and night. My necklace is silver, the design is Greek. I bought in at a market last June. I really like it because it's simple."
