When he was 13, his family relocated to Orlando, Florida. Joey graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando where his
favorite subjects were drama and chorus. He loves to perform, whether it's singing OR acting. He was in many productions in school, including MacBeth, Damn Yankees, and Guys and Dolls. Some
people may know him as the Wolfman at Universal Studios.
Joey is an easy-going, down-to-earth guy. He gets along with everybody and he likes to make people laugh. Whenever one of the other band members are down, Joey's there to cheer them up!
His biggest music influence, he says, is his dad. He used to sing in a group called the Orions but they were never famous. Nonetheless, they were Joey's inspiration. They used to do 50's tunes which was Joey's first
musical influence. He also likes Boyz II Men and his favorite song is "Water Runs Dry".
Joey is a very ambitious person and he puts all his effort into performing, but when he finds time in his busy schedule to relax, he usually ends up playing video games. He likes to
kick back and relax during his off time, but don't let him fool you! He's a party animal! He likes to go out clubbing and busting out his moves on the dance floor!
For Joey, his idea of a perfect date would be, "a casual dinner and a movie with someone who is outgoing, trusting and has a great sense of humor."
Joey doesn't like sports much but he does go in-line skating with the rest of the guys for exercise.
Joey loves Superman memorabilia and he collects anything from t-shirts to jewelry.
He hates fake people.
The best thing for Joey about being in a band is the travel. He loves visiting different places and meeting new people.
He used to have really strong feelings for a girl in high school named Dinay but he wasn't in love with her. They went out for 4 months but split up when she moved away to college.
Joey loves lasagna. He says that nothing could ever top his mom's cooking.
His ideal woman is a "fun girl with a great personality who enjoys company, honest, can take a joke and likes going to the movies. I like girls who aren't afraid to speak their mind. I don't really have a type, I like women with
long hair, ginger hair, red hair, dark hair - it doesn't matter!"
Joey's favorite Spice Girl is Geri because, in Joey's words, "I find her really appealing. She looks good and she's nice too, I've met her a couple of times. She's more
outgoing and outrageous which I like."
His job in the band, besides singing and dancing and flirting, is to cheer the other guys up when they're down.
His favorite word is burrt. He says it doesn't really mean anything. You just say it really loud.
Joey has the title of "biggest flirt." That was a given. His secret? "I'm always happy. I'm the flirtatious, happy-go-lucky one of the band. If someone's down I try to get them in a good
mood - that's my charm! I have to look on the bright side of everything."
On his dates, Joey likes to wear something interesting and different because he doesn't want to look like anybody else.
WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE TYPE OF JEWELRY JOEY WEARS, HE REPLIES:"I'm completely covered with all this Superman stuff. This
Superman earring I got from Lance for Christmas three years ago. That 'N Sync ring was a present from a girl when I was in high school. My earrings are from my friend and I always wear them! This Superman bracelet I bought at the Warner Brothers Store in Orlando...um do I need to tell about this watch and necklace..??"
